Girls aren’t logical

Or bad at math. Or technologically challenged. If it’s a “left brained” activity, rumor has it that we aren’t so good at it. 

But research shows that this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. In one study, children were told that boys would outperform girls at a math challenge. The result? Both girls and boys saw a significant drop in scores. We’re not doing anyone any favors.

The good news is that there’s an active fight against this stereotype. #STEMfem is a social media hashtag used to promote women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields.
